🧪Nitazenes are a group of synthetic opioids that can be up to 20x stronger than fentanyl. ☠️
There are currently over 10 types of nitazenes -but research on them is limited.🥸🕵️

Initially developed in the 1950s as potential pain medications, 👨‍⚕️ they were never approved for medical use due to their high risk of dependency and dangerous potency. 🚫
In recent years, they have emerged in the illicit drug market all over the world.

Nitazenes were detected in multiple samples 🧪🧪 of opioids, 🧪co***ne and 🧪other substances it has no business being in, that have been tested over the past few years by drug checking services all over Australia. Substances containing nitazenes have sadly caused the hospitalisation and de@th$ of some unsuspecting Australians over the past 5 years. 💔☠️🚑

💡Nitazene test strips are the latest tool in Australia's drug harm reduction toolkit. ⚡💡
While drug testing strips are useful tools, they DO have their limitations when using with complex street drug mixtures.
Test strips cannot eliminate ALL risks or guarantee safety- but they can help identify adulterants or the need for further testing.

Harm reduction is about respecting the dignity and rights of people who use drugs, creating tools that empower us all to be active participants in our own health.
Drug checking services, reagent test kits and test strips and naloxone are all helpful overdose prevention tools when used according to instruction.
