💭 Thought of the Week

This week’s double Parshah, Chukat–Balak, presents two very different approaches to life.

Chukat begins with the mitzvah of the Parah Adumah—a chok, a commandment beyond human understanding. The Torah teaches us that not everything needs to be explained. Sometimes the greatest wisdom is to trust Hashem, do what is right, and keep moving forward.

Then comes Balak. Balak and Bilaam overanalyzed everything. They schemed, calculated, and tried every possible angle to stop the Jewish people. In the end, their endless strategizing became their downfall.

The lesson is powerful. We should think carefully and make wise decisions, but we must never become trapped by analysis paralysis. Overthinking can stop us from acting, growing, and fulfilling our mission.

Life isn’t about having every answer before taking the next step. Sometimes the greatest success comes from trusting Hashem, doing the right thing, and moving forward with confidence.

Thought of the Week

This week we learn about the mitzvah of Tzitzit. One of its purposes is to remind us of all 613 mitzvot.

We all use reminders, calendar alerts, notes, and messages to help us remember what matters. But Tzitzit are more than a reminder; they surround us.

The message is powerful: Judaism doesn’t just tell us what to do, it gives us the strength, warmth, and support to do it. Tzitzit wrap us in Hashem’s love, helping us become the people we are meant to be.
