WHEN. HEAD. LICE. COME. KNOCKING.

Well today certainly did not go the way I had pictured.
Ms 8 started complaining of an itchy head this morning at the pet shop.
I had a quick look and sure enough - OH NO!
We headed straight home and I made up a mixture of coconut oil and olive oil (with a few drops of tea tree and lavender) and smothered our heads.
I popped to the shop to grab a lice comb and have to admit I was cursing myself for letting her “no thanks nits” detangler run out a few weeks ago 🤬
Any who…
Home I came and spent the majority of the day combing & wiping.
At the end of the day, I washed out the oil mixture with two shampoos, rinsed with an Apple Cider Vinegar rinse and braided her hair.
It was quite the day but it was also a great opportunity to spend some wonderful time as a (very oily) family.
We will repeat this every 2-3 days for the next fortnight make sure we get all those little bugs out of our house.
Anyone got any other top nit tips for us?
