The MCC would like to send a heartfelt thank-you to Damith Mapa, who has chosen to begin a new chapter next season. Mapa has been a beloved member of the MCC for over a decade, and his commitment and contributions to our club stretch far beyond his on-field accolades.

Throughout his time at the Bloodhounds, he has been a respected teammate, mentor and friend to so many around the club. His passion for the Bloods, willingness to help others and competitive spirit have left a lasting impact both on and off the field.

Mapa’s contribution to the MCC over many years has helped shape the culture and standards of our playing group and for that, we are incredibly grateful. While we are disappointed to see him move on, we wish Mapa and his family all the very best in the next chapter.

WELCOME BACK | Yoshan Kumara

The Mordialloc Cricket Club is thrilled to welcome Yoshan Kumara back to the Bloodhounds for season 2026/27!

Entering his third season at Mordi, Yoshi has become a crucial member of our First XI and a consistent performer throughout his time at the club. His achievements to date include:

• Bart Martello Cricketer of the Year
• First XI Batting Award
• 2× MCC Team of the Year
• 698 runs
• 35 wickets

A genuine all-rounder with proven capability of impacting the game with both bat and ball, we are excited to have Yoshi back for another big summer in the red and white. ❤️🤍
