We supplied keys for our customer’s 1978 GS 1000 Suzuki which is a restoration project 🏍️ He owned the same type of motorbike new & came across this one when working on his last job before retirement! We love hearing stories like this & providing the locksmith services required 💪🏼🔐⏰

An extra special job for a customer! As locksmiths we occasionally come across treasures & are so appreciative of the trust to have people’s history shared with us. This beautiful old box & ledger book were locked shut with no keys. Once opened & keys made we rang our customer who then came in & went through many of the documents inside with us. There were family records, baptism certificates, letters, titles, deeds, & photos dating back to 1836! A copy of a publication from 1588 & a copy of a letter from Gallipoli dated 1915 regarding a soldier’s passing & his brother. Many of these items may be kept at the National Library once family have finished “discovering” them. The ledger had entries dated from 1874 – 1877 & the neatest handwriting! 🗝️🗃️🖋️

A custom key requested to symbolise the Holy Trinity was made by André using a beautiful brass mortice key 🗝️ The colour of the key doesn’t show very well in the photo as it’s bright brass / gold in real life 🌟 Needless to say our customer was thrilled 🤩 In case you’re wondering this key is for decorative use only and not for working in a lock 😊 As always customer satisfaction is our #1 🔐⏰
