But what does it actually mean for your child? 💙In simple terms, the NDIS doesn't just want to know a diagnosis; they want to know how that diagnosis impacts your child's everyday life.Can they get dressed independently?How do they handle a trip to the noisy supermarket?What happens when their routine changes?"Functional evidence" is the proof of these daily challenges. It’s the reports from therapists, but it’s also your own records and observations. The clearer picture we can paint of your child's day-to-day reality, the better equipped we are to advocate for the right supports. We're here to help you build that picture.

Here is what usually happens after a behaviour support plan is submitted:

The plan arrives. It gets filed. Someone puts it in a folder. The support workers are told it exists. Nobody explains what it means. Nobody demonstrates the strategies. Nobody checks back in to see if anything has changed.

So the support worker does what any reasonable person does with a 47-page document they've never been trained on: they ignore it and do their best.

The participant keeps having the same hard days. And you keep wondering why the referral didn't land.

Behaviour Bridge trains the team in person. We don't leave until the strategies are being used.

The NDIS system rewards the existence of a plan.

Not whether it works.

Not whether anyone read it.

Not whether the support workers know what to do.
