Landscape By Design

Here are 3 things worth knowing before you start landscaping:

1- Orientation is everything. Which way your space faces decides where the sun and shade fall, and that decides which plants will actually thrive. Think about shading those hot north facing spots and pulling as much light as possible into the shady south facing ones.

2- Spend where it counts. So much budget gets poured into areas you barely use or see, like the sides of the house and dead corners. Put the money into the zones you live in and look at every day. That's where mature planting, decking, and the real wow factor pay off.

3- Work to one overall plan. A cohesive design beats a space pieced together over time. Planning the whole picture from the start is what stops a yard feeling mismatched and unfinished.
