How are those New Year Resolutions going for you now we are 1 month in?!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Did you know research shows that fewer than 10% of people are able to keep NY resolutions for longer than a few months?! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Many of us use the beginning of a new year to make those changes that we know we want to but the truth is we can make a choice to start or stop anything at ANY TIME. One of my greatest mentors says "you can start or stop anything in an instant ". Yep, you actually can. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And if you do fall off the band wagon, ie miss a gym session, eat that price of cake, DO NOT get into negative self talk. Hating on yourself only takes you further from your goals every time. Simply just decide to get back on track!! And that's it. It really is that simple. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Now to set yourself up for a higher chance of success here are some tips: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

🌸Pick ONE thing. And be specific. Once you achieve this or it becomes part of your routine/habits etc then you can implement another. This is so important for your success. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌸Dream BIG, but break it down into smaller steps that are reasonably achievable. Each time you achieve each small step you are cementing in your subconscious brain that you can achieve this and that you are! This will give you the confidence to keep going and also you are already then BEING the new you you want to be 👏⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

🌸Make a plan and anticipate challenges so you know how to navigate them. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

🌸Write a list of as many points as possible as to how and why making this change will benefit your life and put it where you can see it everyday. This will help you stay committed and also to make better short term decisions with the end goal in mind. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

🌸Be kind to yourself and persevere. Encourage yourself as you would your best friend. YOU need to be your biggest cheerleader ! 💕

Tonight January 12th 2021 (13th in other timezones) marks the first New moon of the year! New moons are a time for new beginnings, a new cycle.
