Quick update on Milly ❤️

Just a few short weeks ago, Milly was diagnosed with Stage 5 IVDD and was paralysed.

I was able to see her within the first week after she went down. At the time, she wasn’t eating, wouldn’t take her pain medication, and her family were faced with the heartbreaking decision of surgery or euthanasia.

After her first treatment, Milly started showing movement in her toes. A few days later, she took her first wobbly steps.

This week was Milly’s third treatment. She’s now walking confidently on lead, trying to run, toileting independently, and her back is much less roached. ❤️

A huge well done to her dedicated family for following her rehabilitation plan so closely.

Every dog is different, and outcomes can never be guaranteed, but stories like Milly’s remind us that there can still be hope. 🩵

Little Tinka, 12 years young. 🐾

Tinka has an angular limb deformity (commonly referred to as “Queen Anne legs”), which alters her weight-bearing and movement patterns. Over time, this can lead to compensatory muscle tension, particularly through her lower back.

With regular maintenance treatments and the addition of full-spectrum h**p oil to her management plan, she’s staying comfortable, mobile, and enjoying a great quality of life. 💛

Little Miss Daisy 🌼

Over the past year, Daisy has had a few ups and downs with her IVDD, so we’ve adjusted the timing of her treatments to give her the best possible support.

Seeing her this week moving so much more comfortably, despite the colder weather, was wonderful. 🥰

IVDD is a lifelong condition, and progress isn’t always linear. Regular reassessment and ongoing management can make a real difference in helping dogs stay comfortable and mobile. 🐾

From paralysis to first steps in just one week! 👏✨

Milly was referred to me through Long Dogs WA after suffering a severe Stage 5 IVDD episode.

The prognosis was grim. Surgery or euthanasia were presented as the options, but surgery wasn’t possible for her family.

I first treated Milly last Saturday.

Today, just one week later, she is attempting to walk and has taken a few independent steps. 🐾

Watching her take those first steps brought tears to everyone’s eyes.

There is still a long road ahead, but seeing those first steps after everything she has been through is incredibly special.

Every recovery journey is different, but moments like these remind us never to give up hope. 💙

🐾 Why I use Antinol for my own dog

Many of my clients know Milly, my 12-year-old Border Collie. Around three years ago, she was diagnosed with lumbosacral disease and chronic spinal issues.

At the time, I worried about how quickly her mobility might decline. Fast forward to today, and she’s still enjoying her walks, running around the garden and living a happy life with minimal use of anti-inflammatory medication.

Her management plan is multifaceted and includes regular Bowen therapy, Antinol, full-spectrum h**p oil, Canine Vital Spinal Support, appropriate exercise and keeping her warm and comfortable during the colder months.

While no single product is a magic fix, Antinol has been one of the key tools I’ve used to help support her comfort, mobility and quality of life over the years.

Every dog is different, but I truly believe in being proactive when it comes to joint and spinal health. Seeing Milly still doing so well at 12 years old makes me grateful for the approach we’ve taken.

💙 Canine Muscle Therapy clients can receive 5% off Antinol using partner code: V7772675.
