Dr Jake Renzella – UNSW Day of AI
Professor Karen Murcia – Curtin University, National Co‑Lead & Chief Investigator, ARC Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child

The discussion will explore Western Australia’s position in national and international education landscapes and the lessons we can learn from how other education systems and industries are responding to AI.

Rural, Regional & Remote Bursaries Now Available – State of AI in WA Schools Forum

We’re thrilled to offer special bursaries for rural, regional, and remote schools to attend the upcoming State of AI in WA Schools Forum. We understand that accessing professional development opportunities can be particularly challenging for schools outside the metropolitan & inner regional area, and we want to make it easier for your school leaders and teachers to engage with the latest insights in AI and education.

💡 Bursary Details:
• Limited availability – awarded on a first come, first served basis (to eligible schools)
• Can support up to 2 teachers or school leaders per school
• Available to schools with an ICSEA score below 1000
• $500 per attendee, up to $1,000 per school, to be applied toward conference registration costs (please note: bursaries do not include free tickets)

These bursaries are designed to increase representation from rural, regional, and remote schools at the forum, enabling participants to take knowledge back to their communities and share it with colleagues and students across WA.

We know how important it is for your school to stay connected with emerging technology trends and professional networks – and we want to help remove barriers to participation so that more educators across WA can benefit.

📌 Act quickly – these bursaries are limited and offered on a first come, first served basis!
