"I lead in a traditionally male-dominated environment. Balancing the scales means making sure capability, effort and ambition, not gender, shape opportunity.

Balancing the scales means ensuring the next generation of girls can step into leadership with confidence. I had people believe in me early, leaders who encouraged me to back myself and step forward. That belief shaped who I am today, and it's what drives me to lead in a way that shows girls they belong in leadership too."

These words are also on posters for the Shooting Stars rooms, and they will remind our participants and staff that they deserve to take up space, use their voices and lead with confidence.
