Pilates vs Stress ✨
Controlled breathing is a key part of Pilates, used as a tool to assist or challange movement. A mindful breath helps the body de-stress by activating the Parasympathetic Nervous System which reduces anxiety, lowers heart rate and promotes a sense of calm.
Pilates also requires focus and mind to muscle connection, this focused state helps quiet the mind and reduce over activation of the sympathetic (stress) system.
Pilates is for the body as well as the mind.

We have added two semi private hours with Luise on a Thursday afternoon at 4:30pm and 5:30pm.
