Our Pre-Primary–Year 6 students recently enjoyed the Djinda Kaatijin performance by Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company.

This engaging and educational performance celebrated Aboriginal culture, storytelling, and knowledge, offering students a valuable opportunity to deepen their understanding of Aboriginal histories, perspectives, and connections to Country.

We thank Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company for sharing this memorable experience with our students and helping to bring Aboriginal stories and perspectives to life.

🌱🔢 Kindy Learning Update 🔢🌱

In Kindy Maths, we have been revising our numbers to 5, building confidence in recognising, counting, and representing numbers through fun hands-on activities.

In Science, we have been exploring life cycles and learning about what plants need to grow. The children have enjoyed discovering how living things change over time and investigating the essentials for healthy plant growth, including sunlight, water, air, and soil.

It has been wonderful to see our young learners engaging with these concepts through play, observation, and discussion! 🌻✨

Pine View Primary School warmly invites parents, carers and community members to attend our NAIDOC Week Assembly on Monday 29 June at 9:00am.

Our assembly will celebrate the histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and will feature:
• Acknowledgement of Country
• Student performances
• The Wanjoo song
• Recognition of our new Yarning Circle
• Choir performance of One Love, Heal Country

This special event provides an opportunity for our school community to come together, celebrate culture and recognise the importance of respect, connection and belonging.
