WORKSHOP FOUR: Putting it all Together
1pm - 5pm this Friday

Our final workshop explores how bits and pieces of devised material can come together into a work. Clea Purkis will lead you through how an actor and director might approach staging non-narrative scenes, including how to transfer and adapt an actor's text study. We will also be talking about non-narrative structure and how the sequence of images and ideas in devised theatre can create an audience journey.

WORKSHOP THREE: Writing for Devised Theatre
10am-1pm this Friday

Lead by Eliza Smith this workshop is about exploring all the different things text can be when working outside of narrative theatre. How can fragments of performance lecture, poetry, story telling, projected words or recorded snippets of text be collaged together to accumulate meaning alongside design elements?

WORKSHOP TWO: Devising with Design Elements.
1pm - 5pm this Thursday

With a whole bunch of generative tasks from Will Gammel and Nathan Calvert, this is an afternoon for play and shenanigans. Come and explore how lighting, sound, AV and object work can lead the meaning making process from the very begining of a project.

WORKSHOP ONE: Generating Ideas
10am-1pm this Thursday

Let's generate some ideas! We will be sharing where and how we look for inspiration as well as processes we use to start stringing dispirate stimulus into the shape of an idea. Bring the very seed of an idea rolling around your head, or bring a totally blank notebook.
