Tomorrow marks the start of National Reconciliation Week, a time for all Australians to reflect, learn and take action towards a more united future, grounded in respect, understanding and our shared histories.

Today, we also recognise National Sorry Day and acknowledge the ongoing impact of forced removal on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, families and communities.

At Ngala, our Ngalang Moort Ngalang Kurlangah program supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families with young children aged 0 to 4 years, creating culturally safe spaces where children can play, learn and thrive.

Delivered by Aboriginal staff for families in the City of Swan, the program also offers workshops, home visits and connections to other services.

In this video, our team member Mystique shares what reconciliation means to her and how Ngalang Moort Ngalang Kurlangah will be recognising the week with children and families in their playgroups.
