This week, I had the honour of attending the Independence Day celebration in Australia. Beyond the festivities, it was a truly special event as we also celebrated the incredible contributions of Consul General Siriana Nair as she prepares to complete her diplomatic posting in Western Australia.

We first met Siriana three years ago, shortly after she moved to Perth, and we immediately recognised her as an excellent and humble person. She has a remarkable ability to connect with everyone and see the best in every situation. Her approach to diplomacy consistently highlights the humanity at the heart of global connections, embracing differences while uniting people for common goals.

As Siriana concludes her posting, we would like to acknowledge the profound impact she has made in strengthening our relationships. Reflecting on her insightful remarks, particularly on the shared similarities and collaborative spirit between communities, resonated deeply.

Just like any friendship or business partnership, these relationships have gone through various stages. What truly stands out is that despite our diverse backgrounds and perspectives, people generally possess a great nature. By focusing on our shared values and the positive impact we can achieve together for humanity both locally and globally, we can undoubtedly make the world a better place.
