Hvidt & Mølgaard for France & Son mid century Danish two-tier circular coffee table

Exceptional solid teak two-tier circular coffee table designed by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen for France & Son. Peter Hvidt and Orla Molgaard-Nielsen were pioneers of mid century Danish furniture design, renowned for their simple and precise aesthetic. Today, their work can be found exhibited at MoMA, Melbourne’s National Gallery, and Copenhagen’s Design Museum. This coffee table is the 'Minerva' (model FD-515) and features a 99cm circular solid teak top with a lower shelf of hand-woven rattan set in place with four brass brackets. The craftsmanship on this coffee table is first class and it's in absolutely pristine condition.

Mid century Scandinavian metamorphic rolling cocktail drinks cabinet by Torbjørn Afdal for Bruksbo

Exceptional 1960s ‘flip top’ bar-cabinet-drinks trolley featuring figured teak front and back, black laminate top and brass hardware complete with original keys. The black laminate bar top slides and flips open, doubling the serving space and transforming the cabinet into a stand-up bar. The cabinet features two felt-lined shelves for wine bottles, a dovetail draw for cocktail accessories and brass rails on the inside of the two doors for glassware. Mounted on castor wheels, it can be easily moved when entertaining guests. It’s in outstanding condition and we have finished it with fresh coats of Danish oil.

Mid century Danish Juul Kristensen for Glostrup Møbelfabrik 3-seat sofa

Designed by Danish designer Juul Kristensen and manufactured by Glostrup Møbelfabrik in the 1960s/70s, this 3-seat sofa is crafted from solid teak and features sculpted organic lines and majestic oversized paddle arms. We have fully restored to mint condition. The teak frame has been completely pulled apart then stripped, reassembled and finished with fresh coats of Danish oil. The brand new cushions feature Future Foam's premium Quantum Foam (which carries a lifetime warranty), new dacron, and top-of-the range $150 per metre Italian boucle fabric. It's rock solid and super comfortable. This is Danish mid century furniture at its finest and a piece from our personal collection (we just can’t keep them all 😂). Matching Juul Kristensen armchair also available.

Mid century Elliotts of Newbury highboard, professionally restored to showroom condition

Outstanding high sideboard / credenza from Elliotts of Newbury, a mid century British furniture manufacturer known for high quality workmanship. This piece is beautifully crafted and features generous storage space with multiple open display areas and closed storage cupboards with sliding doors and adjustable shelving. There is also a drop down door liquor cabinet and two drawers with unblemished original grey flocking. Made in a period when good quality British manufacturers were still using exotic hardwoods, the frame is crafted from afromosia (African teak) and all the panels feature zebrano veneer, so-called for its lustrous zebra-striped appearance. We have fully stripped the entire piece and finished with fresh coats of Danish oil. It's in outstanding condition, absolutely rock solid and will make a BIG statement in any room.

A pair of 1960s rosewood and leather 'Boké' easy chairs by Gunnar Myrstrand for Källemo, Sweden

Designed by Gunnar Myrstrand in 1964, these chairs were part of Swedish maker Källemo´s 'Boké' range. The chair frame is constructed from solid rosewood, with a leather backrest and a down-filled leather seat cushion. Incredibly well built, the craftsmanship is as good as it gets. Beautiful to look at and supremely comfortable. Perfect condition. Price is for the pair. Boom 👊
