Yooperlites are a type of igneous rock (syenite) that contain the fluorescent mineral sodalite. While famous for glowing bright orange, some rare specimens also feature a stunning purple color.

The fiery orange glow comes from the sodalite inclusions ๐Ÿ”ฅ.

The purple hue is caused by a different mineral called feldspar. ๐Ÿ’œ

๐Ÿ’™ Blue needle quartz ๐Ÿ’™

A rare variety of clear quartz characterized by faint blue, needle-like inclusions that become visible under direct light.

Often found in Himalayan or Brazilian quartz, the "needles" are caused by thin trapped gases (Tyndall effect) or inclusions of minerals like Riebeckite, tourmaline, or rutile.

The blue can be feather-like or needle-like lines and are often invisible in ambient light and require a flashlight or direct light to be seen. Perfect for a light base ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ’™.
