This prospective cohort study found that weight lifting was associated with a small decrease in all-cause mortality risk, while a combination of weight lifting and moderate-to-vigorous aerobic physical activity was associated with a >40% decrease in all-cause mortality risk.

Never forget that your lifestyle will mostly determine your results if weight regulation is a goal of yours...
New study shows how more physical activity doesnβt mean youβre burning as many total calories as you may think!
They found that our basal metabolic rates (how much we burn at baseline) may slow an average of 28% as we try to ramp up physical activity.
Whatβs worse is that those with more adipose (fat tissue) may get even more compensation.
This is just another reason why focusing on diet before exercise is very important when trying to lose substantial amount of weight.
