Walk for Hirschsprung’s Disease
This weekend we got behind a cause that is very close to one of our team member’s hearts. Hirschsprung’s Disease is a rare congenital condition that affects in 1 in 5000 infants.
Treatment requires surgery, or multiple surgeries and there is no cure.
Thanks to the campaigning of a local Mum & HD warrior herself, September is now the official international awareness month for Hirschsprung’s Disease 🙌
To celebrate the first official awareness month, on September 16th families and friends of Perth HD warriors joined the cause and walked from Perry Lakes to King’s Park. The walk also raised funds for Bowel Group for Kids who provide support to affected families.
Picton was happy to be able to support a great cause with a pull up banner for the start and finish along with maps for walkers
