MRD - Mick Rule Design

Very happy, but also slightly disappointed. My Trigg Beach house didn't win the Trends International Design Awards Australia, designer of the year award, but did receive the runner up award. Given that this is an Australian design awards, I am still incredibly honored to receive this recognition for my work.

Renovations and extensions Preston Point Road. Original home was an Italianate home typical of many homes in Fremantle built by European migrants. Its second incarnation saw the home stripped of its decorations and pillars and turned into 4 rather drab apartments. The 3rd transformation of the home is now complete. I designed this in 2021 and the home now displays a more modern aesthetic, also with passive solar principles incorporated to achieve comfort levels unrealized in its previous guises.
