Motherhood is basically answering 10,000 questions a day. At least that is what my nearly 3 year old thinks 😅
“Why is the moon that shape”
“What is this button?”
“Mammaa!"
“Soo, what can i cook for you mama?”
“MUMMMMMMMM.”
…on loop until bedtime. (I wouldn't have it any other way!)
And somehow, in between being the household emotional support human, snack distributor, finder of lost items under mountains of stuffed toys, and part-time negotiator…
we’re also supposed to:
✨ stay hydrated
✨ regulate our nervous system
✨ keep everyone alive
✨ remember appointments of all sorts
✨ cook something nutritious
✨ and keep going until bedtime and beyond...phew!
Honestly, if you’ve ever hidden in the pantry just to smell your oils collection in peace…
this post is for you...😂
At Oils and Otherwise, we’re big believers that wellness doesn’t need to look perfect.
Sometimes it’s:
🌿 rolling peppermint on your temples before daycare or school run
🌿 diffusing lavender so we can all sleep peacefully
🌿 taking one deep breath so you can co-regulate their little nervous systems too
🌿 remembering you matter too
Motherhood is beautiful.
And it’s also loud, messy, overstimulating, and occasionally held together by essential oils, yoga, dancing to music and deep breaths.
And honestly? There’s something really powerful about mums supporting mums through it all.
Which is exactly why we created *Breathe, Mama: A Sanctuary Experience* 🤍
A space for mums to pause, breathe, regulate their nervous systems, connect with other women who truly get it, and finally stop feeling like they have to hold everything together alone.
No pressure.
No perfection.
No “fixing” yourself.
Just support, grounding, connection, and a moment to exhale.

Come join us, mama. Your nervous system called… she’s tired 😂🤍
DM us to reserve your spot.
Having your "village" in motherhood can be both, the biggest blessing and sometimes, a little straining too.
The ongoing advice.
The never ending expectations.
The beliefs about what a “good mum” should look like.
As a south asian mum myself, I've experienced it all. I've also trusted my mumma instincts and always communicated from a place of "this is for my baby"
While sometimes it is taken well, other times not so much. And I may have lost some family and friends along the way.
What I do know is this; someone else's reaction is not a reflection of you or the mum that you are. Their reaction is entirely their responsibility.. as long as you speak and act from a place of love and kindness ❤️
Motherhood is not about being perfect.
It's about doing it in a way that feels right for you and your family while also taking on the advice and support that feels good for you.
Here, at Mama Rebellion, I believe mothers deserve spaces where they can soften, reconnect with themselves, and remember who they are outside of the pressure.
Because motherhood was never meant to feel like constant performance.
It was always meant to feel supported.
Whether you are a new mum, an overwhelmed mama needing space to breathe, or a future mother healing yourself before motherhood — this space is for you.
If your nervous system has been craving rest, connection, emotional healing, low-tox living, gentle wellness support, and intentional motherhood…
I would love to invite you to "Breathe, Mama: A Sanctuary Experience" on Sun 24th May, 11am-1pm
A nurturing experience designed to help mamas slow down, regulate their nervous system, reconnect with themselves, and feel held in community.
✨ Come as you are
✨ No pressure to have it all together
✨ Just space to breathe again
