🌎The PPE Union’s AGM is almost here! 
On Friday, October 3rd, in just under two weeks time, we will be holding our second ever Annual General Meeting! Come on down from 2pm to 4pm, and join us in Law Lecture Room 106 (above Moot Court) - there’ll be free food!
🗣️ Hear from the outgoing executive on what we’ve been up to all year, and vote for your 2026 committee  - nominations will open shortly, and close at strictly 5pm on Thursday the 2nd (the day before). All positions* are up for election so if you’d like to participate in the running of the PPE Union next year, throw your hat in the ring! If you can’t make it, you can have a proxy speak on your behalf. Please read through the election rules in our Linktree - you’ve got to be a financial member of the club to vote, and have been seconded by another PPEU financial member to nominate for a committee role. 
Also on the agenda is change to the PPEU Constitution  - that 20% of membership quorum requirement we currently have is a tad high : we frankly didn’t anticipate how much the club would grow. We’ll propose a few other improvements ourselves, but if you want an amendment put to the floor, make sure you email  it to us by 5pm next Friday - the Guild needs to review them and we can’t accept it and get it to them in time past then. The current constitution is in the Linktree in our bio.

* Fresher Reps will be elected at the start of next year, when there are freshers to elect, and the executive position of Immediate Past President is automatically occupied by, you guessed it, the immediate past president, and thus not elected.

🔥PPEU's Essay Writing Workshop is back for Semester 2!🔥

📝Come on down to Arts Lecture Room 6 after class on Friday 22nd August in Week 5, and get some help from your PPE peers with achieving those elusive high marks in your essays!📝

✍️We'll go through a worked example of a previous student's good essay, to give you an idea of how to write a great paper, especially for PPHE1001 (Liberty, Equality & the Market)✍️
