‘Beyond Vision’ will be opening this Friday 5.30pm-7.30pm, a group exhibition presented by VisAbility. All welcome to attend.

The Community Activity Centre (CAC) at VisAbility’s first public art exhibition feauturing a diverse collection of paintings, mosaics, pottery and woodwork by artists from the Centre’s creative programs.

We invite you to look beyond assumptions about low and no vision to discover the creativity, individuality and talent of the CAC community.

The gallery will also be open weekends for this show, Saturdays and Sundays from 10.00am-4.00pm.

Please join us ‘50 Years of Deadly’, a celebration of work from local First Nations artist Victor Ronan and Ngaanyatjarra artists of the Great Victoria and Gibson Desert areas: Jasmine Lawson, Linda Eddy, Marcia Thompson, Joyce Nelson, Melissa Holland, Phillipa Butler, Moya Porter, Sylvia Robertson, Selena Lane, Harley West and Rosie Lane.

VPCA are grateful for the support from Dept of Communities, Monadelphous Group & Bush Blossom Gallery, Kalgoorlie in developing this initiative. VPCA is a recipient organisation of financial support from the Town of Victoria Park.

The paintings pictured in the Main Gallery are by the Bush Blossom Gallery (Kalgoorlie) artists. Victor Ronan is featured in the Front Room, photographs of Victor's work still to come.

The exhibition will run from 26 June – 14 July.

‘Fragments of Tranquility’ opens this week, a collection of mosaic works by Lynley Jakowyna depicting the Australian landscape. Join us for the opening on Friday 5 June, from 5.30pm-7.30pm.

Experimenting with different techniques and materials, Lynley is constantly challenging herself to develop and extend her knowledge in order to create the desired effects of dimension, realism, reflectivity and perspective of a painterly style of mosaic making.

The gallery will be open weekends for this show, Saturdays and Sundays from 10.00am-4.00pm. The exhibition runs until 16 June.
