A huge thank you to everyone who has supported me and been part of Mette is Baking’s journey over the past nine years. To have just celebrated our ninth anniversary on earlier in November 2024, feels like a dream come true.

I am incredibly grateful for all the support you’ve shown me along the way - whether you are an integral part of our team, or if you stock our crackers in store, showcase our crackers on your menus, or purchase our products at markets or online or even if you have signed up to receive our newsletter. Every bit of support helps me continue my dream to bring a piece of Nordic tradition to tables across Australia with our all-natural dip mixes and multi-award winning artisan baked crackers. A massive thank you!

METTE IS BAKING FUN FACTS
When I started Mette is Baking nine years ago, I never imagined that by now we’d have baked nearly 10 million crackers!
• If each cracker was laid out side by side that would equal a total distance of 500kms.
• In nine years our team of bakers have made 40,000kgs or 40 tonnes of crackers.
• Ensuring our bakery runs like a well oiled machine, means we handle each ingredient with care through 13 different touch points. From the moment the ingredients arrive to our warehouse to the delivery of our final product. This includes making the dough, rolling, cutting, baking, cooling, packing, boxing, picking and more. Altogether, that means we’ve lifted and handled nearly 40,000kgs - around 10 million crackers - 13 times over!
