We had a great time at the 2017 PIA Congress, representing Perth Urbanist and part of the Western Australian delegation in Sydney. A lot to take away from the congress, we will be publishing a wrap up video in a few days.
Perth Urbanist's Matt Rogers also had the opportunity to present a summary of the YP Connect Dangerous Ideas mini-hackathon in which 60 young planners and urban designers from around Australia engaged in discussions on the future of technology and data in the planning profession.

Are you a designer, student, urban planner, landscape architect or architect? The Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority has opened a competition for the design of a wayfinding system for the Perth Cultural Centre (PCC). A $4000 prize will be awarded to the winning team, with $500 allocated to shortlisted entrants.
