ANCAP Safety Ratings has unveiled updated safety protocols in their latest release; Whatโs New from 2026?, bringing stronger, more realistic testing and clearer standards to help keep all road users safe.
Local Governments are being encouraged to explore the new protocols and use them to guide better fleet policies and community transport planning.

The Shire of Ravensthorpe are improving travel speeds for better outcomes for their community.
WALGA
The Shire of Ravensthorpe has agreed to reduce the speed limit for the main streets of Hopetoun and Ravensthorpe to 40 kilometres per hour.
The proposal came from the Hopetoun Senior Citizens Group.
Councillors voted in favour of the change at this week's council meeting.
The request will now be put to Main Roads for approval.
