Our Collecting the Basics campaign wraps up on National Family Violence Remembrance Day, as part of Domestic Violence Prevention Month - Wednesday, 6 May.

This day is a reminder of the importance of supporting people experiencing family and domestic violence; many of whom rely on frontline services for practical, everyday essentials during incredibly difficult times.

Through this campaign, your donations help ensure items like shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste and sanitary products are available to support dignity, wellbeing and a sense of normalcy.

With 34 drop-off locations across Perth, there’s still time to make a difference.

💜 Yesterday marked Youth Homelessness Matters Day.

Addressing youth homelessness requires a whole-of-community approach, with government, community services and grassroots organisations all playing an important role.

At The Essentials Collective, we support this ecosystem by working alongside frontline organisations across WA, providing essential toiletries and hygiene items that help support dignity, confidence and wellbeing during difficult times.

While services provide critical support, everyday essentials like shampoo, deodorant and toothpaste are often overlooked but they can make a meaningful difference for young people experiencing hardship.

Through our current Collecting the Basics campaign, you can be part of that support.

As we approach the end of 2025, we’d like to wish our volunteers, supporters and beneficiary partners a joyful and restful Christmas.
