My studio is tidy and ready to welcome you this Saturday AND Sunday. I can highly recommend a coffee and ohhh so yummy cake for breakfast (yes cake for breakfast - why not!!) from 8am at the Glen Forrest Gourmet before the door opens here at 10am! If you want to start a little slower they do yummy things for lunch too!
If you want other options that involve wine, ask! 😉

New work on the go. I'm in a deep pocket of making at the moment. The really huge piece I recently made taught me SOOOO MUCH, and when those moments happen I like to consolidate.
Can it work on a smaller scale?
Can I refine it?
How much further can I take that one element?

During the quiet moments my brain rolls it through over and over to break down the detail. I imagine my hands at work. As if in a daydream. Lucid.
I can see the end result before I know how to do it. Finding the pathway between thought and reality is hard work.
But when those two find their meet point, my face cracks into a grin of joy. My feet dance.

I was just saying to my lovely friend how working on a bigger scale (this image is 95 x 45cm) presents a few challenges, with one being finding a way to pace myself.
My hands are pretty swift these days, but even with that, there are MANY hours of work that need to be shared out into the days.
