From June 2025 to June 2026, we travelled across regional Western Australia delivering multilingual, culturally safe and inclusive services to migrant workers and employers.

This work has always been about people. We are grateful for everyone who welcomed us and built a relationship with us along the way.

We are not stopping here. Our next round of regional travel is being planned and we are committed to continuing to show up across WA, both in person and online.

We are COLLECTIVE POWER ✊

The Multicultural Workers Collective works alongside universities and TAFEs, multicultural organisations, industry bodies, small business networks, major trade unions and government entities across Western Australia.

Together we strengthen workplace rights awareness and challenge exploitation, standing with all workers and their communities.

Over the past year, we have been on the ground across Western Australia, building real connections with migrant workers and their communities.

We have created space for honest conversations, shared information in multiple languages, and made sure that support is never out of reach because of a language barrier.

Through our work, we have strengthened workplace rights awareness and supported employers to navigate Australia's migration and workplace laws with confidence.

Our one on one legal support has given many workers the clarity they needed, and the confidence to stand up for their rights at work.

✊🏼 This is what collective power looks like in action. The work continues, and we will keep building fairer, safer workplaces for all workers.

Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) workers play a vital role across Western Australia, with approximately 2,825 workers currently part of the scheme here, filling essential positions in industries such as agriculture and aged care.

The Multicultural Workers Collective was proud to meet with PALM worker representatives and the Salvation Army Community Connections program last week, strengthening our shared commitment to supporting migrant workers across WA.

Collaborations like this help us build stronger, more connected communities, and ensure migrant workers are seen, supported and informed of their rights.

It was great to deliver an information session to women from Communicare. Many women are newly arrived migrants adjusting to Australian culture and looking for new employment. Knowing your rights at work and where to seek help is empowering and matters for everyone.
