Ohh, the sweetest ballerinas 🩷

This past semester, we really tried to hone in on the beauty of slowing down.
(It's certainty a skill that needs practice for anyone, even adults! You can imagine even more so for a 7yr old. )

So each week in class, we talked alot about the art of control... learning that not every movement needs to be fast or flashy to make an impact. I tried to explain that in ballet, some of the most beautiful moments happen when you're just standing still!

And sure enough... I couldn't stop smiling during both of their performances because THEY GOT IT. They did it!!

For those who watched this performance from our audience... I hope you noticed how still they were for that longgg intro of Canon In D. ☺️ And appreciated what a challenge that was for these kids! How hard they'd practiced to perfect that!

So yes, whilst we giggled about calling your first routine "Send In The Frowns" 🤣 there was absolutely nothing whatsoever to frown about 💖
Watching you all dance was, as always, a sheer delight!

Trevor Santos is a Naarm/Melbourne-born dance artist and choreographer with nearly 20 years of experience in arts, entertainment, and education. He has collaborated with artists including Guy Sebastian, Mo’Ju, Missy Higgins, Hayden Calnin, Sheppard, and Hangeng, and worked with brands such as Toyota, Lee Jeans, Nuform Clothing, Baker’s Delight, Vicks, and Boost Juice.

Expanding into musical theatre, Trevor has performed in Jagged Little Pill, Miss Saigon, the global phenomenon Hamilton, and most recently, In The Heights. 

As a choreographer and teacher, he has worked on the 2022 Miss World Australia finals and created acclaimed independent works 100 Haikus and In Other Words. His teaching has taken him to cities worldwide, including New York, Beijing, Kuala Lumpur, Sydney, Gold Coast, Perth, and Hobart.

Trevor's Hip Hop / choreography class will be 1hr 15mins, and will conclude with an exclusive 15min Q&A session so dancers can soak up all the wisdom and knowledge and advice that Trevor has to share!

Incase you haven't met her, allow us to try and sum up some of Indigo's incredible accomplishments in a short paragraph:

Indigo is a highly sought-after and accomplished performer and creative from Melbourne/Naarm. Most notably she toured with ‘HAMILTON’ (Michael Cassel Group) which she performed in 5 countries and worked with the show’s original creative team in New York City. She is the Associate Choreographer of ‘The Lovers’ (Shake + Stir/Crossroads), an original Australian musical that toured to Brisbane and Sydney in 2025, in which she also covered the principal roles of Helena and Hermia, and is the Assistant Director of the new musical ‘Stella’.

Her work spans across all areas of stage and screen, and she is a choreographer who is passionate about dance being a vehicle for connection and storytelling.

✨ School holidays just got a whole lot more magical... ✨

Introducing: Fun Club – The Ballerina Edition! 🩰💖🎀

We thought long and hard about it, and asked ourselves "if we were 10 years old, how would we want to spend our time on the holidays?"

And this is it. This was our answer: FUN CLUB!

So we got to it and have designed a special day especially for young ballerinas to laugh, create, dance and make wonderful new memories together.
From crafting their very own beautiful ballet tiara to taking part in a fun-filled ballet class and spending time with friends who share the same love of dance, this is an experience they won't want to miss!

School holiday programs are about so much more than simply keeping kiddos busy. They provide an opportunity for them to build confidence, spark creativity, develop new skills, strengthen friendships and dive right in to an environment where they can simply be kids, have FUN, and let their imaginations shine.

Whether your child already dances every week or simply loves all things ballet, we think Fun Club is the perfect way to spend a day these holidays ✨

As we wrap up another incredible semester, I wanted to take a moment to shine a light on the people who make so much of the magic happen every single week... our amazing teachers and assistant teachers. 💙💚

💐 To Miss Kobe and Miss Olivia:
Thank you for pouring your whole hearts into everything you do.
For the countless hours you invest that so often go unseen, please know that we see and appreciate it all. The lesson planning, the choreography, the music edits, the encouragement, the problem solving, the patience, the pep talks and the unwavering belief you have in every dancer who walks through our doors.

You have such a huge impact in all that you do. Thank you for noticing the dancer who finally found the confidence to stand at the front. For helping them tuck in their whiskers on their ballet shoes. For calming nerves before stepping on stage. For believing in them, even when they don't yet believe in themselves.
Being a dance teacher is about so much more than just teaching dance... You two both understand this and for this, I am deeply grateful.

Aleesha, Emily, Natasha and Rachel:
Watching you all continue to grow into such capable and inspiring leaders has been one of my greatest joys so far this year. The care you show our younger dancers never goes unnoticed. You are role models in every sense of the word, and the kindness, patience and encouragement you give so freely has an impact on every part of our community.
Thank you for being there for the littlest ones in our dance fam. They are so incredibly lucky to have your support, and so am I!

So many people have told us this one was our best showcase yet....
Which is the most beautiful feedback to hear!
Honestly!

But I like to think that statement will only be true for another 6 months, before we go right ahead and level it up again 😉

Because that's how it goes around here.
