A new competition of mixed gender Modified-Contact Roller Derby Games called ‘The ModCon Challenge'!
The idea of the competition is to make Roller Derby in Victoria more accessible for all levels. Although this competition will be for people wanting to eventually reach ‘Full-Contact’ Bouting level, it will be a place for people who would like to only compete at a 'Modified-Contact' level.
⚫️⚪️⚫️ Competition Structure; ⚫️⚪️⚫️
⚫️ Four teams; East, West, North, South. ⚫️
These teams will be based on Skaters home league/club. The idea is to eliminate the randomness of scrimmage rosters, and have more of a team structure. Skaters will be playing with the same people each round, including Bench Crew.

⚪️ Occasionally, ‘new to full-contact’ skaters may be included on the roster at the discretion of the Skater’s home league/club and The ModCon Organisation Crew.
➖ This may be due to the roster having low numbers or a significant level of drop-outs. This must always be done primarily with the experience of the Modified-Contact Skaters in mind.
⚪️Full-Contact Bouting Skaters will only be added to the Roster under the following circumstances;
➖ If they are suitable to play; as they are able to safely comply with The ModCon Challenge - Gameplay Guidelines.
