From 1 July 2026, labelling seafood by country of origin becomes mandatory under the Australian Consumer Law. But you don't have to wait. You can start now.

Here's how AIM labelling works- it's simple:

A = Australian seafood I = Imported seafood M = Mixed origin (combination of Australian and imported)

Labels must appear wherever customers make their ordering decisions—printed menus, online menus, menu boards, or clear signage.
