We are collecting items for babies and mothers at King Edward Memorial Hospital. List of required donations is below, if you would like to knit one of the knitted items we have the patterns in the library. (they have to be the hospital patterns) We will be collecting until 25th of July. Box for donations is in the library.

More than 6,000 babies are born at King Edward Memorial Hospital each year. Many newborns arrive in an emergency and some without the essential babywear and blankets they need.
The Baby Bundles program supports Western Australian families in need by providing essential babywear and blankets to babies born prematurely, in emergencies, or to mothers in desperate situations.

Help keep a newborn wrapped in warmth this winter - ABC Perth ABC Perth's Afternoons presenter Jo Trilling needs your help to knit blankets, cardigans and teddy bears for babies in need.

As you know, the library is a part of the Post Office building. The library has a fantastic array of DVDs available, including new releases and series. So if there is nothing on free to view or your streaming service isn't quite hitting the mark - pop into the library. It's a free community service. Whilst picking a movie or book, get stocked up on drinks, chocolates and lollies. Let's face it, it is the perfect weather to be snuggled up watching a good movie and eating chocolate.
