Meet Sean Fugate - North American Client Success Manager at PX4 Software

Sean brings more than a decade of experience in user experience research, client engagement, and strategic leadership to his role at PX4. Based in Portland, Oregon, he works closely with our North American clients to ensure they gain the full value of PX4, while helping organizations modernize and optimize their land management processes.

Before joining PX4, Sean spent over 10 years in educational technology, where he pioneered UX research practices and translated insights into strategies that shaped products and business outcomes. His background gives him a unique perspective on connecting client needs with organizational goals.

Sean’s journey also includes military service in the U.S. Army, where he honed his adaptability, leadership, and problem-solving skills in high-stakes environments.

Passionate about innovation, ethics in technology, and client trust, Sean is also active in the Interaction Design Foundation, has volunteered as a CASA, contributed to the Habits for a Better World project, and designs tabletop role-playing games to teach kids collaboration and problem-solving.

We’re excited to have Sean on the PX4 team as we continue expanding across North America and beyond.

𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗜𝘇𝘇𝘆 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 — 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗮𝘁 𝗣𝗫𝟰 𝗦𝗼𝗳𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲

With over 15 years of experience across the mining and software industries, Izzy brings a rare blend of operational insight and digital perspective to the PX4 team.

She began her career in journalism and transitioned into the mining world through her work with the American Exploration and Mining Association, where she led a national campaign to engage college students on the role of mining in modern life. From there, Izzy took on project coordination at SRK Consulting, working on permitting, environmental baseline studies, and international mine closure initiatives. Her path then led to the software space, where she successfully managed hundreds of client projects across industries.

Today, Izzy helps bridge the gap between mining operations and innovative technologies, playing a key role in PX4’s growth in North America. She is passionate about public education around modern mining and supporting companies in updating legacy systems with purpose-built solutions like PX4.

Outside of work, you’ll likely find Izzy exploring the world of live music with her husband or on an adventure with their two young sons.
