Is running an online business easy?

Many people think running an online business is easy, especially with less overheads and upfront costs - it might seem like the perfect business model to an outsider (and in truth it might be easier to *start* an online business compared to a bricks and mortar business) however, running an online biz and making a profit is a whole other kettle of fish.

Business owners in the online space know very well that just because their business is 'online' doesnt mean its any 'easier'. In fact, some aspects are harder, for eg; finding your target client as there's no store front to entice customers to step into your store, there is also no 'foot-traffic' to attract potential customers - so how do they find your online business?

Like most traditional businesses, an online business still takes a lot of time and work to set up, from getting the tech up and running to marketing online and competing with everyone else who's vying for the top spot on Google - and the online business world can be highly competitive in terms of reaching, attracting and converting your target audience.
