Your SMSF property needs a market valuation by June 30.

ATO rules require an annual valuation of every SMSF asset at market value. Property valuations don't need to be a full bank valuation each year, but the basis must be reasonable and documented.

- Comparable sales evidence is usually enough
- A formal valuation every three years is a sensible cycle
- Document the method and keep it on file
