If you’ve met me in person you know I love a good chat, and light up when we talk all things yoga, health, and food.

I offer private yoga sessions that are held in the comfort of your own home where we can begin your journey nice and slow, working on alignment, the breath and mindfulness. And if you’re more experienced we go even deeper.

I also teach at two incredible yoga studios in Adelaide 🌟

Ayurveda and Yoga are sister sciences. When woven together these pathways can provide wonderful benefits to our health and well-being.

Winter is days away and in Ayurveda, this season is ruled by the Kapha dosha - combination of water and earth. It is the time when our environment holds the coldest, heaviest, and wettest qualities of the year. It can make us feel slower, heavier, achy and more congested. The primary site of the Kapha dosha is the stomach so we want to keep this part of the body warm and lively. Have you noticed that you are waking up hungry?

During this time of the year create a few small daily self care habits. This will look different for everyone but some could include going to bed and waking up at the same time every day, starting your morning with warm lemon water and a hearty breakfast, moving and creating heat in the body, tongue scraping and/or warm sesame oil massages. Consistent daily habits can have a huge impact and keep you strong and robust this winter season.

If you enjoy breathing exercises Nadi Shodhana, Kapalabhati and Bhastrika are warming and clearing Kapha-balancing techniques.

And if you’re open to practicing with me I’ll be guiding students this Sunday and Monday with a heating practice - hello Utkatasana 🔥
