Our talented Frenchie’s from the Cert II Retail Cosmetics course have been busy perfecting their make-up application skills as part of their hands-on training with The French Beauty Academy.
The students are building the practical skills and confidence needed for a future in the beauty industry. 🌟

🍣 Fresh flavours at WesTEC today!
Our Cert II Cookery students were busy showcasing their culinary skills, serving up delicious sushi for staff at Redbank Plains State High School.
Today’s menu featured mouth-watering Teriyaki Beef and Smoked Salmon sushi — freshly prepared and absolutely packed with flavour!
A fantastic opportunity for students to gain real industry experience while delighting the staff with their creations. 👩🍳👨🍳
Today our Cert I Construction students in the WesTEC TEC Program had an exciting industry engagement session with Steve from CSQ! 👷♂️🏗️
Students stepped into a virtual reality construction experience where they explored both civil and residential construction sites. They spoke with site supervisors, completed assigned tasks, followed site instructions, and even got hands-on experience flying drones, spray painting, and operating a crane through the VR simulation.
It was fantastic to see the students so engaged and excited about the industry, with some of their favourite parts including:

💬 “It was immersive and taught me more about how different job sites work”
💬 “I like how it shows real life experiences within being on site”
💬 “Using a crane”
💬 “Showed me how the real construction site will look like and how to manage stuff”
