Alhamdulillah, the Year 7 girls at Springvale Campus have successfully completed a five-session wellbeing program, “Growing Together, Belonging Together.”

Through engaging and thought-provoking activities, the girls discovered strengths in themselves and one another, built trust, explored kindness, and strengthened their teamwork skills through fun challenges and games.

A key achievement of the program was fostering a deeper appreciation for sisterhood, belonging, and supporting one another. The girls’ reflections and growth throughout the program were encouraging and highlighted its positive impact.

The girls were recognised for their enthusiasm and active participation throughout the program. We are proud of all they have achieved and look forward to more opportunities for growth and connection. A similar workshop series for the Year 7 boys will take place in Semester Two, inshaAllah.

Last Thursday our Senior Boys and Senior Girls proudly represented Minaret College Springvale Campus at the Greater Dandenong District Futsal Tournament — and both teams returned as Champions!

⚽ Senior Boys Champions
The boys produced a dominant tournament campaign, remaining undefeated throughout the competition. Their discipline, teamwork, and determination saw them progress through every match before being crowned Greater Dandenong District Champions.

⚽ Senior Girls Champions
The girls showcased incredible resilience and skill, finishing the tournament with an impressive record of 4 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss from 6 matches. Their outstanding efforts earned them the title of Greater Dandenong District Champions.

To achieve a double championship is a remarkable accomplishment and reflects the hard work, commitment, and character of our student-athletes. Congratulations to all players, coaches, and staff involved. You have represented Minaret College Springvale with pride and excellence.

Our Year 3–6 girls at Minaret College Springvale recently had the fantastic opportunity to participate in a free Basketball Victoria Girls-Only Clinic.

Three qualified Basketball Victoria coaches visited our college and guided students through a range of engaging skills, drills, and basketball activities. The clinic provided a fun and supportive environment for our girls to develop their confidence, teamwork, and sporting abilities.

This initiative aligns with our commitment to encouraging greater female participation in sport and promoting healthy, active lifestyles for our students.
A big thank you to Basketball Victoria and their coaches for delivering such an enjoyable and inspiring session. Our girls had an amazing time and came away with new skills, knowledge, and a love for the game!
