Just kidding! But in all seriousness, spotting cameras all over a home you're about to view is a big reminder that *everything* you say could be overheard—and that can seriously impact negotiations.
Here’s why: If a seller hears you say, “I love this house! It’s perfect!” they’ll know you’re emotionally attached, which could make them less willing to negotiate on price or repairs. On the flip side, if they hear you pointing out flaws, they might feel defensive or take a firmer stance in negotiations. Either way, it puts buyers at a disadvantage.
That’s why I always tell my clients to keep their thoughts neutral inside the home and save the real discussion for when we’re outside or in a private setting. I want to hear all your feedback—but let’s wait until we’re in a safe space to talk openly!
