According to a recent article by The Sydney Morning Herald and Domain;

Low rental vacancies have fuelled strong competition for apartments in inner suburbs, driving up asking rents and maintaining an ideal market for Landlords.

Domain’s chief of research and economics Dr Nicola Powell said,
“Areas that saw some of the biggest declines ... are now recovering and seeing the strongest rates of growth.”

Sydney wide, unit rents jumped a record 18.6% to a median of $575 per week.

In Bass Hill, where units make up less than 10% of stock, the median jumped an incredible 44.2% to $620.
