Limited edition ‘Found Botanical Bottles’ series by in store especially for Mother’s Day (or just because)

These porcelain bottles are cast from found glass bottles from yesteryear. Back from the day when people burned or burnt their rubbish in their back yards. They were perfume bottles, medicine bottles, alcohol bottles and even glue bottles. Now reimagined in porcelain, each one has been decorated with hand screen paper transfers.

The designs are from Melanie’s sketches of Western Australian flora. Many drawn while on the road, camping in remote parts of the country. Applying the drawings onto silkscreens, Melanie then screen prints them onto special papers and applies them to the clay while still wet.
