National NAIDOC Theme | NAIDOC 05/07/2026

🖤💛❤️ This week we recognise and celebrate NAIDOC Week 2026.

This year's theme, "50 Years of Deadly," celebrates five decades of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices, culture, resilience and leadership, while recognising the ongoing contributions that continue to shape our communities and our nation.

At Link Resources, we acknowledge the importance of listening, learning and working together to build stronger, more inclusive workplaces and communities.

We pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and to Elders past and present. We also recognise the next generation of leaders who will continue this important journey.

SA Working at Heights Threshold Drops to 2 Metres from July 2026 - Link Resources 01/07/2026

⚠️ South Australia's Working at Heights rules have changed. Is your workforce ready?

The updated 2-metre threshold is now in effect across South Australia.

That means workers carrying out tasks at or above 2 metres may now require nationally recognised Working at Heights training to meet site and employer requirements.

If you manage teams in construction, utilities, maintenance, mining, manufacturing, or infrastructure, now is the perfect time to review your training records and ensure your workforce is compliant.

At Link Resources, we deliver RIIWHS204E – Work safely at heights, giving workers the practical skills and nationally recognised competency needed to work safely at height.

📖 We've broken down everything you need to know about the new requirements, who they apply to, and what they mean for your organisation.

🔥 Pull. Aim. Squeeze. Sweep. 🔥

It sounds simple enough... until there's smoke in the room, an alarm sounding, and people looking to you to act.

That's why Fire Extinguisher Training (PUAFER008 – Confine small emergencies in a facility) is all about hands-on experience. Participants don't just sit through a presentation — they learn how to assess a situation, select the right extinguisher, and safely use it in a practical environment.

🚨 Because when an emergency happens, confidence comes from practice.

The good news? Most workplaces don't require the fully accredited version. We also offer a non-accredited option that allows more of your team to participate in a single session while still gaining valuable fire safety skills.

🎉 What a great week at the Australian Institute of Health & Safety National Health & Safety Conference in Adelaide!

Three days of connecting with safety professionals, industry leaders, and organisations committed to building safer workplaces across Australia.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat about training, compliance, workforce capability, and nationally recognised qualifications. It's always valuable to hear what's happening across the industry and discuss how we can help organisations achieve their safety and training goals.

Events like this are a great reminder of the passion and commitment that exists within the health and safety community.

Thanks again to everyone who came and said hello. We can't wait to do it all again next year!

💙 As Men's Health Week comes to a close, here's an important reminder:

Looking after your health isn't just about physical fitness. It's also about your mental wellbeing, your relationships, your stress levels, and knowing when it's time to ask for help.

Too many men put off seeking support, hoping things will improve on their own. Whether it's persistent stress, burnout, poor sleep, anxiety, feeling disconnected, or simply knowing something isn't quite right, taking action early can make all the difference.

This year's Men's Health Week message encourages men to check in with themselves, check in with their mates, and seek support when it's needed.

✔️ Book that appointment you've been putting off
✔️ Have a conversation with someone you trust
✔️ Check in on a mate who's been quiet lately
✔️ Reach out if you're struggling

Some helpful support services include:

📞 Lifeline – 13 11 14
📞 Beyond Blue – 1300 22 4636
📞 MensLine Australia – 1300 78 99 78

Whether you're on the job site, in the office, or at home, your health matters.

Let's keep the conversation going long after Men's Health Week ends.
