I wanted to let the members of Tea Tree Gully City Soccer Club know that, unfortunately, I won't be capturing your team photos this season as the club has decided to appoint another photography company.

This has been incredibly difficult news for me to receive 😔

For more than seven years, my family has been part of this club. Our three boys have grown up here and during that time we've proudly contributed in every way we could. Volunteering countless hours, supporting club sponsors, attending events, donating to fundraisers and doing whatever we could to give back to a club we genuinely believed shared the same values.

When I first took on the team photography, it wasn't because I was looking for more business. In fact, I don't offer this service to any other sporting club. I did it because I wanted to help our club and create something special for the community we were part of.

So yes, this decision has been difficult to accept – not because of the work itself, but because of what this club has meant to our family. I truly believed we were valued and appreciated. It felt like somewhere we belonged, a second home.

I'm also disappointed in how the decision was communicated. While I respect that committees have decisions to make, I wish there had been greater openness and consideration throughout the process.

To every family who trusted me to capture your children over the years, thank you. It has genuinely been a privilege to preserve those memories, and I will always be grateful for the support and time I have spent with you all 🫶

I’ll never get over how much trust it takes to hand your brand-new baby over to someone with a camera. It’s not lost on me - not for a second.

This little one was an absolute dream, and I’m so glad their family now has these memories to hold onto… not just in their hearts, but in their hands.

Soft sighs. Tiny fingers. That milky, sleepy warmth.

These early days are fleeting, but oh, they're everything.

So glad I got to slow down time with you, just for a moment.

Here's what no one tells you about family photos.

The "perfect" ones? They're not actually the ones you'll treasure most.
It's the one where your toddler refused to look at the camera because a bird flew past.

The one where someone's mid-giggle and their eyes are closed.
The one where the baby decided right now was the perfect time to grab a fistful of dad's beard.

Those are the ones that feel like home.

Your family's story isn't meant to be polished. It's meant to be told honestly... with all the chaos and tenderness and realness that makes it yours.

So stop waiting for everyone to cooperate. They never will. And that's exactly what makes it beautiful.
