"Great service begins with solving real problems that make a real difference in people’s lives"

This afternoon we gathered again for another engaging CPA Australia City Taxation Discussion Group session — bringing together professionals across the industry to connect, learn, and strengthen the way we support our clients and community.

Today’s session focused on “Show me how: Refresh your knowledge of the ATO app and myID”, presented by Jillian Mathieson, Director in the Individuals and Intermediaries Engagement and Support team at the Australian Taxation Office

A big thank you to Jillian for the informative and practical presentation, including the live demonstrations and discussions around strengthening client security and awareness in an increasingly digital environment.

This session was proudly organised by Teddy Kosasih, Partner at MaxGrowth HQ, and Henry Kwok, Partner at DVT Mcleods — with the shared goal of creating a forum where practitioners can openly explore important issues, exchange practical knowledge, and strengthen the quality of advice and support we deliver.

Thank you to all members who attended and contributed to the discussion, and to CPA Australia for providing the venue and supporting the professional community.

Let’s Together We Make a Difference.

On this ANZAC Day, we pause to remember the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering spirit of those who have served and continue to serve. Their legacy reminds us that true strength is found in unity, resilience, and selfless service.

“We honour their legacy not just in remembrance, but in how we live, lead, and stand for one another.”

"Great leaders serve first and lead second because a meaningful life is built on meaningful service"

This afternoon we gathered again for another engaging CPA Australia City Taxation Discussion Group session — a great opportunity for practitioners to connect, exchange insights, and stay sharp on the issues that matter most to our clients.

Today’s discussion focused on the FBT Year-End Update 2026. As we approach the end of the Fringe Benefits Tax year, Katie Lin, Partner at Nexia Australia, shared valuable insights on the latest developments in FBT over the past year.

The session covered key legislative updates, compliance requirements, and strategic insights, as well as the impact of recent ATO activity and focus areas that advisers and businesses should be aware of heading into the FBT year-end.

The session was proudly organised by Teddy Kosasih, Partner at MaxGrowth HQ, and Henry Kwok, Partner at DVT Mcleods, with the shared goal of creating a forum where practitioners can openly explore complex issues, learn from experts, and strengthen the quality of advice we deliver.

If you value practical insights, robust discussion, and a professional community focused on serving people by solving real-world tax challenges, we’d love to see you at the next session. Thanks CPA Australia for the venue and let's Together We Make a Difference!
