Smoke alarms save lives — but only if they work properly. Here’s how to make sure yours do:

✅ Test your alarms monthly by pressing the button until they beep
🔋 Replace the batteries every year
📅 Swap out the whole alarm every 10 years — even if it still works
🧽 Clean them every 6 months to keep dust and cobwebs from interfering
