It has been a really busy year for us at Advanced Service Centre, but now it rolls to a close. We will be closed from 12pm on 19th of December and reopen bright and early on the 5th of January. Automotive Technician Required

Advanced Service Centre currently requires an Experienced Automotive Technician to join our team in Toowoomba.

Reporting directly to the owners of the business, the successful candidate will have proven experience, a mechanical trade certificate and the ability to undertake a wide variety of work on all makes and models. While we do specialise in European make and model vehicles, we do see regular work for all makes and models. Although not mandatory, a candidate with general experience on Japanese or Australian brand passenger/4wd vehicles would be well suited for this position.



In this role you will be required to:

-Be punctual and well presented

-Apply mechanical maintenance skills including service work, mechanical and electrical repairs, clutch/transmission and engine work, brake and tyre replacement and more

-Demonstrate a solid work ethic and a keen eye for detail

-Demonstrate suitable communication skills, including the ability to document work carried out and recommended work on vehicle repair orders

-Follow direct instruction



To be successful in this role you will possess:

-A light vehicle mechanical trade certificate

-Demonstrated experience in automotive service and repair work

-A current QLD manual drivers licence

-Relevant industry experience

-Reliable transport

-A customer focused approach to vehicle maintenance and repairs



For a suitably qualified candidate with proven experience, well above award wages are on offer plus small amounts of weekday overtime as required. No weekend work will be required.

17.5% leave loading for annual leave.

Uniforms and off-street parking will also be provided. Staff lunches are provided on Fridays.

We've had a couple of V6 diesel oil leak repairs on the go lately, we had one out of a Touareg not too long ago, this time around we've freed this V6 out of an Amarok for a full reseal. No more leaks for this vehicle! We've also replaced the thermostat while it was accessible as the pivot was broken causing the vehicle to run warmer than it should.
