We’re Hiring: Senior Technician (Qualified)

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Technician, your duties may include (but aren’t limited to):

• Conducting tests in line with Australian & Main Roads standards

• Identifying and reporting non-conformances to Supervisors or Managers

• Entering data and preparing reports under NATA-accredited scopes

• Performing daily equipment checks and maintenance

• Adhering to all licensing, HR, and safety requirements

• Following Laboratory Quality & Procedure Manuals

• Maintaining respectful, helpful communication with clients

• Being punctual and performing duties to a professional standard

• Scheduling and completing engineering site inspections

Minimum Qualifications

We’re after someone with:

• Certificate IV in Construction Materials Testing

• 3+ years lab experience

• Current QLD Nuclear Density Gauge Licence

• White Card (Construction Card)

• Valid Driver’s Licence

• Experience with AS1289, AS1012, AS1141 and TMR test methods

About the Role
Depending on your experience, your duties may include (but aren’t limited to):
• Performing laboratory and field tests in accordance with Australian Standards & Main Roads (TMR) specifications
• Identifying and reporting any non-conformances to supervisors or managers
• Entering data and preparing reports under NATA-accredited scopes
• Conducting daily equipment checks and basic maintenance
• Following all safety protocols, licensing, and regulatory requirements
• Adhering to Laboratory Quality and Procedure Manuals
• Communicating respectfully and clearly with clients and team members
• Being punctual, professional, and reliable

Trainee Technician candidates with:
• A strong interest in construction materials
• Willingness to learn and follow detailed procedures
• White Card (or ability to obtain)
• Valid Driver’s Licence
• A proactive attitude and readiness to work in a fast-paced environment
No prior lab or testing experience required - full training provided.

We're Looking For:
Experienced Senior Technician candidates with:

• Experience in a lab or field testing environment
• Current QLD Nuclear Density Gauge Licence

Now Hiring: Construction Materials Testing Lab Manager
📍 Location: Warwick, QLD
🕒 Full-Time | Competitive Salary | Immediate Start Available

We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Laboratory Manager to lead our Soil Testing Laboratory, ensuring all testing and reporting meets Australian Standards, TMR and NATA accreditation requirements. If you’re a senior technician and looking to up skill we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily operations of the soil testing lab, ensuring compliance with AS, TMR and NATA guidelines
* Supervise and support lab technicians, ensuring accurate and timely test results
* Conduct quality control and assurance in alignment with internal and external audits
* Manage workflow, reporting, equipment calibration and maintenance
* Liaise with clients, project managers, and field technicians to ensure high service standards

Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years experience in construction materials testing (CMT) with a strong soil testing background
* Proven leadership or management experience in a NATA accredited laboratory (preferred but not essential)
* Detailed knowledge of AS and TMR test methods and procedures
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* White Card and valid driver’s licence
