📍 Day 1 Highlights from Kingaroy!
What an exciting first day at the IPWEA-QNT South-West Queensland Branch Conference! The Proterra Group team has finished a fantastic day filled with insights and networking.
A major highlight was the presentation by David Bell, our Major Projects Manager, and Brian Wood from Survai Systems, who shared how LiDAR technology is transforming road condition assessments. They demonstrated its ability to provide greater accuracy, deeper data insights, and improved outcomes in asset management.
It was great to see such strong engagement among attendees, with lots of discussion about practical applications of this innovative technology.
We’re looking forward to another incredible day of knowledge sharing and showcasing what the Proterra Group team can do!

🌧️ WET WEATHER NOTICE – LONGREACH WASTE FACILITY 🌧️
The Longreach area received approximately 30mm of rain overnight, resulting in wet and potentially slippery conditions at the Longreach Waste Facility.
To assist customers during this period, skip bins for General Waste and Scrap Metal will be located next to the shed in front of the office. This will allow customers to dispose of these materials without needing to access wetter areas of the facility.
Where possible, we encourage residents and businesses to postpone non-essential visits until conditions improve. This will help minimise damage to site surfaces, reduce the risk of vehicles becoming bogged, and improve safety for all site users.
If you do need to visit the facility, please:
* Drive to the conditions
* Follow all site signage and staff directions
* Exercise caution when entering and exiting disposal areas
* Be aware that access to some areas may be restricted if conditions deteriorate further
Our team is monitoring conditions closely and working to maintain safe operations. We appreciate your patience, understanding, and cooperation during this wet weather event.
